BetaHub Terms of Service
Welcome to BetaHub! We’ve tried to make these Terms as clear as possible. They explain how you can use BetaHub, what we promise, and what we expect from you. The legal language is necessary, but we’ve added plain-English summaries to help you understand each section. If anything is unclear, just ask us at hello@betahub.io.
BetaHub is operated by UPSOFT sp. z o.o. (“BetaHub”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
Effective Date: June 25, 2026
The essentials in 30 seconds:
- BetaHub is for individuals and teams/companies alike
- You own your content; we host it to run the service for you
- You can cancel anytime; refunds follow our Refund Policy
- We treat private-project content as confidential and protect your data under GDPR
- If something goes wrong, our liability is limited (see section 13)
- If you’re a consumer, your statutory rights always apply
- Polish law applies (consumers keep their home-country protections)
Part 1: Getting Started
1. Who Can Use BetaHub
In short: Anyone can use BetaHub — individuals, teams, and companies. Keep your account details accurate, and you’re responsible for what happens under your account.
BetaHub may be used by both individuals and organizations. The person or entity that holds the account is the “Customer”. By using BetaHub, you confirm that:
- You meet the minimum age required by applicable law to enter into these Terms;
- If you register on behalf of a company or organization, you are authorized to bind it to these Terms;
- You will provide accurate registration and billing information;
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use BetaHub.
2. What BetaHub Is
In short: BetaHub is a bug reporting and feedback platform for games, with plugins for Unity/Unreal and Discord integration.
BetaHub is a web-based platform for collecting and managing feedback, bug reports, and player sentiment for games. Features include:
- In-game and in-app bug reporting (Unity and Unreal Engine plugins, a web widget, and more);
- Discord bot integration;
- Video and screenshot capture;
- Developer triage and workflow tools;
- Third-party integrations (such as Jira, GitHub, and Asana).
The full list of features is available at betahub.io. Features may change over time as we improve the platform.
3. Accounts and Users
In short: Create an account to use BetaHub. The first user becomes the admin. Keep your credentials safe — you’re responsible for what happens under your account.
3.1 Registration
To use BetaHub, you must create an account. You can create one or more organizations, and you become an administrator of any organization you create. You can also be invited to organizations created by others, and invited members may be granted any role, including administrator.
Within an organization, administrators can:
- Invite or remove members;
- Assign roles and permissions;
- Purchase or change subscription plans;
- Manage integrations.
3.2 Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials secure;
- All actions taken under your account, including by your users;
- Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
Note: We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.
Part 2: Subscriptions and Billing
4. Plans and Pricing
In short: We have a free plan and paid plans. Current pricing and plan details are on our pricing page. Fees are billed in advance and don’t include taxes.
4.1 Plans
BetaHub offers a free plan (Basic) alongside paid plans (Standard, Pro, and a custom Enterprise plan). Each plan has its own feature set and limits. Current plans, features, and pricing are available at betahub.io/pricing and may change over time. Each paid plan includes a free trial; see the Refund Policy for trial details.
4.2 Payment
- Subscription fees are billed in advance for each billing period, unless otherwise agreed;
- Fees are stated in USD, but may be charged in a local currency in some regions (for example, EUR in the European Union). Local-currency amounts approximate the USD price at prevailing exchange rates and may be updated over time;
- Fees are exclusive of VAT and other taxes, which are added as required by law. Where you purchase as a consumer, applicable taxes are shown at checkout.
4.3 Changes to Pricing
We may change pricing from time to time. Changes are communicated as described in section 16 (Changes to These Terms), and we will give advance notice where required by law. If you don’t agree to a price change, you may cancel before it takes effect.
Note: If we cannot collect payment within 14 days of the due date, we may suspend or cancel your account.
5. Cancellation and Refunds
In short: Cancel anytime. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.
You may cancel your subscription at any time by written notice (email is sufficient). Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle, and your access to paid features continues until that cycle ends.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits any refund or withdrawal rights you have as a consumer under applicable law (see section 18).
Note: Export any data you need before your access ends. We may delete your data after a reasonable retention period following termination.
Part 3: Using BetaHub
6. Your Content
In short: You own everything you upload. We treat private-project content as confidential and use it only to run the service for you. Keep your own backups.
6.1 You Own Your Content
You retain all rights to the data, files, and content you upload to BetaHub (“Your Content”). This includes bug reports, screenshots, videos, logs, and any other materials.
6.2 Public Projects
By submitting content to public projects, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, display, transmit, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and improving BetaHub.
6.3 Private Projects
For content submitted to private projects, we use it only to provide and maintain the service for you and the project’s developers. We do not use private-project content to improve our service, and we do not share it with third parties except as required by law or as necessary to operate the service (for example, trusted infrastructure and processing providers acting on our behalf — see our Privacy Policy). We commit to treating private-project content as confidential.
6.4 Your Responsibilities
You represent that:
- You have the rights to upload Your Content;
- Your Content does not violate any laws or third-party rights;
- Your Content does not contain malware or harmful code.
We may remove content that violates these Terms.
6.5 Backups
Note: We maintain backups for our own resilience and disaster recovery, but we do not provide backups as a user-restore feature and do not guarantee them. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of important content, and we are not liable for any data loss.
6.6 Storage and Fair Usage
BetaHub provides storage under a fair usage policy. You can upload videos, screenshots, logs, and other files to facilitate bug reporting and feedback. If your usage significantly exceeds typical usage patterns (such as unusually high volumes of data or project counts), we may contact you to negotiate adjusted terms or pricing. We reserve the right to suspend accounts with excessive usage that impacts the platform.
7. Acceptable Use
In short: Use BetaHub legally and don’t try to break things. Don’t build a competitor using our platform.
You agree not to:
- Use BetaHub for any unlawful purpose;
- Upload content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights;
- Attempt to access systems or data you’re not authorized to access;
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerabilities of BetaHub;
- Interfere with other users or the platform’s infrastructure;
- Share, sell, or transfer your account credentials;
- Use BetaHub to build a competing product;
- Use automated tools to scrape or harvest data (except via our APIs);
- Circumvent any usage limits or security measures.
Note: We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
8. Third-Party Services
In short: BetaHub connects to Discord, Jira, GitHub, Unity, and more — but we’re not responsible if those services have issues.
BetaHub integrates with third-party services (such as Discord, Jira, GitHub, Asana, Unity, and Unreal Engine). We are not responsible for:
- The availability or functionality of third-party services;
- Your compliance with third-party terms;
- Any issues arising from third-party integrations.
Use of third-party services is at your own risk.
9. Discord Bot and End-User Submissions
In short: People can submit reports through our Discord bot without a BetaHub account. The bot’s data handling is described in its Privacy Policy, and contributors can opt out.
BetaHub includes a Discord bot that lets members of a community submit bug reports, suggestions, and feedback — including people who do not hold a BetaHub account. By submitting content through the bot, you agree to these Terms as they apply to your submission.
How the bot collects and processes data is described in our BetaHub Bot Privacy Policy. Where a project enables automated message analysis (such as bug detection or sentiment analysis), contributors can opt out using the bot’s /optout command, and can request deletion or anonymization of their submissions as described in that Privacy Policy.
Part 4: Legal
10. Intellectual Property
In short: We own BetaHub. You get a license to use it while your account is active.
10.1 Our Ownership
BetaHub, including all software, designs, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by UPSOFT. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you.
10.2 Your License to Use BetaHub
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use BetaHub during your subscription, subject to these Terms.
10.3 Feedback
If you provide suggestions or feedback about BetaHub itself, we may use it without any obligation or compensation to you.
11. Confidentiality
In short: We protect your billing information and your private-project content. Manage access to your projects carefully.
“Confidential Information” means your billing and payment information and the content of your private projects. We protect Confidential Information using industry-standard security measures, will not disclose it publicly, and will not use it for any purpose other than providing the service to you and your project team — except where disclosure is required by law or court order.
Content you place in public projects is not Confidential Information. You are responsible for managing access to your projects and content.
12. Disclaimers
In short: BetaHub is provided “as is.” We don’t guarantee it will be perfect or meet all your needs.
BetaHub is provided “AS IS” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that BetaHub will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that it will meet your specific requirements.
13. Limitation of Liability
In short: If something goes wrong, the most we’ll owe you is the fees from the last 30 days. We’re not liable for indirect damages like lost profits — and nothing here removes liability that the law won’t let us remove.
13.1 No Indirect Damages
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill.
13.2 Liability Cap
Our total liability arising from these Terms or your use of BetaHub shall not exceed the fees you paid us in the 30 days before the claim arose.
13.3 Exceptions
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct. If you use BetaHub as a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights are not affected (see section 18).
14. Indemnification by You
In short: If your content or actions cause us legal trouble, you’re responsible for the costs.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights. This section does not apply where you use BetaHub as a consumer and applicable law provides otherwise.
15. Term and Termination
In short: These Terms apply as long as you have an account. We can suspend or terminate for violations or non-payment, and otherwise with reasonable notice.
15.1 Term
These Terms are effective when you create an account and continue until terminated.
15.2 Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically for successive periods so there’s no interruption to your service. You can cancel at any time and keep access through the period you’ve paid for (see section 5).
15.3 Suspension and Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, fail to pay fees when due, or pose a security risk to the platform. We may also suspend or terminate the service for other reasons, giving you reasonable notice where practical.
15.4 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your license to use BetaHub ends, you must stop using BetaHub, and we may delete your data after a reasonable retention period. Export any data you need beforehand.
16. Changes to These Terms
In short: We may update these Terms. We’ll let you know about significant changes.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the platform, and the current version is always published on this page (see the “Effective Date” above). Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
Part 5: Privacy and Your Rights
17. Data Protection
In short: We comply with GDPR. You have rights to access, correct, and delete your personal data.
We process personal data in compliance with the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and applicable data protection laws. Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. Your GDPR rights include accessing your data, correcting inaccurate data, requesting deletion, and requesting portability.
18. Consumers
In short: If you use BetaHub for yourself rather than for a business, the law gives you extra protections that always come first.
If you use BetaHub as a consumer (a natural person acting outside your trade, business, or profession), you keep all mandatory rights granted to you under the law of your country of residence — including any applicable right of withdrawal and refund rights. Those rights take precedence over any conflicting provision in these Terms, and nothing here deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection law.
Part 6: General
19. General Provisions
19.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland. If you use BetaHub as a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
19.2 Disputes
Disputes will be resolved by the courts competent for UPSOFT’s registered office in Wrocław, Poland. Consumers may also rely on the courts and dispute-resolution options available to them under the law of their country of residence.
19.3 Assignment
You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
19.4 Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and UPSOFT regarding BetaHub, unless you have signed a separate Order Form or agreement, which will take precedence for conflicting terms.
19.5 Severability
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
19.6 No Waiver
Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision.
19.7 Independent Contractors
We are independent contractors. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, employment, or agency relationship.
19.8 Publicity
With your permission, we may identify you as a customer in our marketing materials, website, and social media. If you provide brand guidelines, we will make reasonable efforts to follow them. You can opt out at any time by contacting us at hello@betahub.io.
