Last updated: 2024-10-01
Your privacy is important to us at BetaHub. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when using the BetaHub Bot (“the Bot”) on Discord.
1. Information We Collect
The BetaHub Bot collects the following types of data when users interact with it:
- Channel Names: The Bot collects channel names where it is active for organizational purposes.
- User Data: When submitting feedback (e.g., bug reports, suggestions), we collect your Discord username, Discord ID, and a link to the original message.
- User Messages: The Bot may read user messages to analyze their sentiments or to categorize if the messages are bug reports or suggestions. Users can opt out of this feature by using the
/help
command of the Bot.
We do not collect any other personal data beyond what is submitted through user interactions with the Bot.
2. How We Use Your Information
The data collected by the Bot is used to:
- Facilitate feedback collection (such as bug reports, suggestions, and sentiment analysis) to improve game development processes.
- Integrate the feedback into various bug and project management tools as configured by the user.
We do not use the data for any purposes outside of improving BetaHub services or providing bug reporting functionalities.
3. Data Retention
The feedback data (including bug reports, suggestions, and user interactions) is stored indefinitely unless a user requests its removal. Data is stored securely to ensure its protection.
4. Third-Party Integrations
The BetaHub Bot integrates with third-party tools such as bug and project management platforms (e.g., Jira, Asana, Redmine). Data shared with these services is under the user’s control. BetaHub is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services, and users should review the respective privacy policies of those services.
5. User Control and Data Requests
Users have full control over what data is sent to external tools via the Bot’s integrations. If a user wishes to delete their submitted data, they can contact us at the email below to make such a request.
Alternatively, users can remove all their data by:
- Logging in at: https://app.betahub.io/
- Clicking on their profile avatar, then selecting Profile & Account (or visiting https://app.betahub.io/profiles/me)
- Clicking on Delete My Account and confirming if only the account should be deleted (leaving the reported issues anonymised), or to remove all of the data.
6. Data Security
We are committed to keeping your data secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we employ best practices to minimize risk.
