Automate Your Bug Syncing: New Integration Settings Now Live!

June 18, 2025

Over the past few months, we’ve heard your feedback loud and clear: clicking “Push to Integration” every time a new bug appeared? Kinda tedious. Today, we’re excited to roll out two heavily requested options that make bug syncing with external systems like Jira, GitHub, and others fully automated.

Say goodbye to repetitive clicks—and hello to seamless integration. Let’s dive into what’s new. 👇

New Feature 1: Auto-Sync on Bug Creation

You can now configure BetaHub to automatically send new bugs to your chosen integration system (like Jira) as soon as they’re created. That means:

  • No more manual pushes (if you don’t want to)
  • Bugs flow directly into your external tool without lifting a finger.
  • Your dev team sees the issue instantly, right where they work.

Whether it’s a crash report or a balancing issue, if it pops up in BetaHub, it’ll show up in your integration—automatically.

New Feature 2: Auto-Update on Bug Edits

Bug reports evolve. Screenshots get added, logs get updated, statuses change. Now, all of those updates in BetaHub will automatically sync to your external tool as well.

Here’s what gets synced:

  • Status changes
  • Added media (screenshots, videos, log files)
  • Priority updates
  • Field edits

No more worrying about forgetting to update your integration—BetaHub keeps it in sync for you.

How to Enable These Options

Turning on the new automation features is super easy:

  1. In your BetaHub project, open the left sidebar and go to Settings > Integrations.
  2. Find the integration you want to configure (e.g., Jira) and click Edit.
  3. At the top of the configuration screen, you’ll see two new checkboxes:
    • ✅ Auto-push bugs on creation
    • ✅ Auto-update bugs on change

Check the boxes you need—and you’re good to go.

Bonus Update: Jira Now Supports OAuth2

As an added upgrade, Jira integrations now support OAuth2 authentication. Previously, Jira required API tokens—but now you can connect more securely using OAuth2 for smoother, safer workflows.

This update is optional, but we recommend switching to OAuth2 for better security and easier integration management.

Made for Teams Who Move Fast

These features are all about saving time and keeping your bug flow uninterrupted. Whether you’re running daily playtests or managing a live game with a huge Discord community, automatic syncing ensures that your team never misses a bug—or a fix.

Ready to Automate Your Workflow?

Jump into your project settings, enable the new automation options, and let BetaHub do the rest. These small settings pack a big punch—and we can’t wait to see how much smoother your dev cycle gets.

As always, your feedback shapes the future of BetaHub. Let us know what you think and what you’d love to see next.
