Getting Started
Welcome to BetaHub! Whether you’re a developer looking to refine your game or a tester eager to contribute to the next big title, this guide will help you get started. For detailed guidance, check out our comprehensive guides for Game Developers and Game Testers.
Quick start guide
First, you need to sign in. You don’t really need to create an account, just sign in with your existing Discord or GitHub account. You can also create a traditional account.
Then, depending on whether you’re a developer or a tester, you’ll need to do different things.
For game developers
- Create a new project by clicking the “Create Project” button on the top right of the screen.
- Fill in the details of your project. You can always change these later.
- Go through the onboarding process. This will help you set up your project and get it ready for testing.
Things you might want to get running:
- Integration Guides for in-game bug reporting with the BetaHub plugin, including screenshots, videos and log files out of the box.
- Discord Integration for collecting bugs (using our modern AI implementation) from your community and for keeping the communication loop between you and your testers as short as possible.
For game testers
- Find a project you want to test by browsing the Projects page. If you can’t find the one you’re looking for, maybe you should ask the developer to invite you.
- Join the project by clicking the “Join Project” button on the project page.
- Download the game by clicking on the “Download” button on the project page.
- Play the game and report bugs using the bug reporting form. Please check your game guide for the shortcut to open the bug reporting form.
